Yes, I know it’s been quite a while since I posted, but there has been knitting. There has also been updating in Ravelry which is fun! Mostly I’ve been doing small things (since they’re quicker), but here’s what’s happened:
Blocked & gifted the random fiber swallowtail shawl. The fiber (and I only used 1/3 or so) came from a co-worker who unraveled a project & washed & balled up the yarn for me. I made this as a surprise for her.
Mystery Stole 3 has been cast off. Not sure it’s long enough for me but I’ll see how it looks after blocking.
Made socks intended for Sam but big enough for ZoƩ.
Made socks for Sam that actually fit Sam.
Hat (Vine Lace) and bootees (Saartje’s bootees) made for an impending baby girl.
Finally attached the handles to my long-completed Everlasting Bagstopper bag.
Another similar bag in white still needs handles but was cast off last weekend.
Current project: a scarf version of Eunny Jang’s Print O’ The Wave Stole. As with my Lily of the Valley scarf, I’m modifying the pattern to make a scarf instead of a stole (I’ve only got 1 skein of Periwinkle Sea Silk). I’m planning to do the wave border (18 st. wide) and so I’m only doing a 32 st. body. We’ll see how it goes. I’ll try out a couple repeats of the border to see what yardage it takes and do a little math to figure out how long this can be.
I may also add some beads around the edge of this since I really like the feel of them on the Lily of the Valley scarf. TBD.
