Looking back on 2010, I can’t quite believe how much I got done in the wool-related part of my life. Despite having the house on the market for half the year, I kicked out these patterns:
(Eiffel Tower Shawl, Diamond Sunburst Shawl, Strand of Pearls, Tudor Ruffles, Fast Forward, Stripy Wavy Scarf).
No, we haven’t sold the house yet, but we’re going to try again starting early in the new year.
Oh, and I also ran 2 knit alongs. In July it was the Eiffel Tower Shawl with the Tour de France, and then in December we’ve been doing scarves. Thanks to all who joined in. I am working on cooking up a new idea for another Tour de France KAL next July.
Late this year I learned to spin on a spindle. I love my Golding! That only started recently, but it’s safe to say that I’m hooked. I’ve got about 1200 yards of singles to ply into heavy laceweight. Then I want to create a new design especially for it. That should be fun!
Over the holidays I’ve started teaching my daughter to knit. She’ll be 6 in February. We’re going to have another little session today. Although she’s talked about wanting to learn before, I think what made this happen was that another friend her age has learned.
I’m looking forward to more knitting, spinning & designing in 2011. I’ve got plans and ideas and am looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Happy New Year!
You really have been a busy one. I’m looking forward to seeing what the coming year has in store. A wheel perhaps? ;^)
Happy New Year!
