And here, at very long last, is my own Eiffel Tower Shawl. Knit from about 1.5 skeins of Wollmeise sock yarn in Jultomte, it’s big and warm and I love it. It’s about 75″ across the top and about 36″ deep. Did I mention that I love it?
Next up is a little secret project on the needles that’ll probably take me a week or two to power through, so I’m not sure what I’ll be able to show you. I am mulling over joining a knit along that Joan & Cookie are doing: Kieran Foley’s “Emily 2” shawl, the top-down version of Emily Dickinson. My only hesitation is around what yarn to use. And then I’ll have to pick out some appropriate beads. Hmmm. I’ll get back to you on that.
Love it!
You’ve got plenty of time to find a yarn and beads, sweetie.
It’s so beautiful! I’ve been working on mine the last few weeks, I’m on the border and it’s slow going since I’m doing the larger version in lace weight. (Just call me insane!) Seeing yours is so inspiring.
Also thanks for the kind words on my parents sampler present and for stopping by my blog, it’s been mostly stitching lately, but there’s bound to be knitting at some point, especially since I’m so close to finishing your shawl!
