More yarn and a local KAL

The DKC Frolic was a high point in recent yarn acquisition. I also got a delightful parcel from janie h. knits in Perth. Check out the golden loveliness:

Thank you so much, Janie! Now I really need to make my vision of sunflowers into a full-fledged pattern! Knitting is in progress…

And starting on May 27th, there will be a knit along at janie h. knits for my Lavender Fields Shawl. It’s going to run on Friday afternoons from 1 – 3:45 until July 8th, and it’s $10 a session. I’m looking forward to making the run out to Perth at least a few times!

    Love your colorway of Silken Straw. I picked up a solo skein in a limey green who’s color I don’t recall— and wish I either had more, or another color. Funny yarn to knit with—– and of course (which will come as no surprise to you) the one skein shawlette (simple as butter beans) still remains unfinished. So it goes!!!!
