New hat/cowl pattern on Knit Picks

Last week my Mock Cable Hat & Cowl pattern went up on the Knit Picks site. Yay! My first Knit Picks pattern. This reversible hat and cowl pattern is easier than it looks: there are no cables! The design is formed with increases and decreases. As usual, the pattern is both written and charted.

The pattern includes instructions for a baby/toddler hat, and adult hat, and a cowl. Because the pattern is naturally very stretchy, the adult size will fit anyone from children (as a slouchy hat) all the way to adults (as a fitted hat).

The blue samples were knit with Knit Picks Swish Worsted. I used just under 200g to knit all 3 items. I also knit my 6 year old daughter an adult version in purple Berocco Vintage.

And here’s a blue cowl on Francine, also in Vintage.

Skills needed: increases, decreases, knitting in the round

baby/toddler hat: 70-85yds/91-137m worsted weight yarn
adult hat: 100-150yds/64-78m worsted weight yarn
cowl: 150-200yds/137-183m worsted weight yarn

You can pick this set of patterns up for $1.99 USD from either Knit Picks or Ravelry
