Sunflower Field Shawl/ Summer in Provence e-book ready available!

The Sunflower Field Shawl is the second in a series of shawls inspired by fields in France. One of the sights that you see in the Tour de France as the cyclists whip by are fields of sunflowers beaming at the sun. Inspired by these fields, I created this triangular shawl knit from the neck down. The sunflowers are there for all to see and the leaves are shown running down the middle. If you like, you can leave out the middle section and just knit the sunflowers.

The pattern is both written and charted and it’s intended to be knit with just about any weight of yarn, from lace up to sport or worsted.

The shawl is up for pre-purchase at a discounted price of $4 right now so that folks wanting to participate in the Tour de France KAL contest will have yardage information to prepare. The full pattern will be uploaded on July 1st, 2011, and the price will go up to $6.
