Something new & lovely

Once again I’ve got something new & lovely from a talented designer to share with you. If you’re on Ravelry you may have spotted some new designs from Carol Feller popping up a couple of weeks ago. Carol‘s the author of the new book Contemporary Irish Knits (published by Wiley and widely available from online bookstores like Amazon).

The design that captivated me was Straboy. This is a lovely hoodie and the beautiful photograph (by Joseph Feller) made me want to look at the rest of the pictures.

When I looked at the pattern page for Straboy, I saw it was part of a book. This book has all kinds of garments: sweaters, shawls, a vest, a skirt, mittens, hats and a bg. There’s something in this book for every person from adults down to the wee ones. One of the wee designs is at the top of my list. Listowel is a sweet little shrug for a girl.
