Saturday spinning update: Night singles are done

I’ve been working on this set of lovely BFL/silk batts (colour “Night”) from the Cupcake Fiber Company for weeks, and it’s about time that I at least finished the singles. Mission accomplished:

3 bobbins each with 2 ounces, ready to ply up, except for the fact that I’ve got to make dinner now. Luckily this is a long weekend here (Canadian Thanksgiving), so I should find the time to ply and actually have a new skein or two by next week.

This colour is almost grey from a distance, but it’s purply pinky grey, with yellow, blue and sometimes red bits. It’s very very interesting & I’m curious to see how it plies up.

In other news, you know you’re a die-hard fiber/knitter type when this is how you end up rearranging your letters in Words With Friends*:

(seeĀ this link about qiviut if you’re not already in the know about that wonderful stuff)

*no, I wasn’t able to find an appropriate place to play the word, so I don’t know if it would have been accepted
