I’ve had another busy week of spinning and plying. First up was the light-coloured Polwarth/Silk (Hummus?) from Southern Cross Fibre. I finished the other half of the singles and plied it up for about 485 yards of 2 ply in about 116g:
Here it is with all of its friends so far:
And then I started spinning the other 4 oz of Decadent Chocolate. This is the last bit of the Polwarth/Silk that I’ve got to spin. I’m half way:
I’m going to see if I can finish this all by the end of the year.
Meanwhile I was slightly distracted by an ongoing spindle project. I started working on this Romney from Into The Whirled back in July. I finished off the other “half” this month & left it for a while because the two sets of singles were pretty different. Instead of plying them together, I chain-plied them on my wheel. I’ve got a small skein of about 50 yards in 53g, and a larger skein of about 90 yards in about 65g. It’s not my best work, but it’s yarn:
It’s still a wintry wonderland here. We had another 5 or 6 inches of fluffy snow since my last set of pictures. The kids have been sledding at the little hill nearby. I am running out of places to put the snow, so it can hold off for a while now, ok?

Too much snow!
Lovely knitting as always, sweetie.
