Saturday spinning update: spindle spun

This week I finally finished up a spindle spinning project that had been going on for a few months. I split a bag of odds & ends from Into The Whirled into the various colour components and bundled them up to spin in order. I did the dark piles back in March or April, but I did the purple ones while I was away earlier in July. I did the blue through yellow at Knitting Camp, and finished the rest at home.

I used my wheel to chain ply the singles into about 274 yards in 100g. That was pretty speedy.

The purple is a little thicker than just about everything else, but overall I’m happy with the skein and I think it’ll look great knit up into a simple shawl.

And now for your general amusement, I present the daily schedule my daughter spontaneously drew up for the holidays:

She may have missed a step or two, but basically her plan is to get up, get dressed, colour while she’s waiting for me to get up, have porridge and a vitamin, play outside, watch Bubble Guppies or something else, colour, shower, and go to bed. I’m sure she didn’t mean to forget the other meals because that has never happened yet!
