I try to come up with a new worsted weight scarf pattern each year. I work to come up with something that’s interesting to me, something new, but hopefully something not overly complex. This year’s pattern isĀ Furrowed.
It’s a completely reversible scarf worked on the bias. The stockinette and reverse stockinette ridges pull in like an accordion to give a thick cushy fabric. I love this scarf, and I made mine long enough to loop around twice. I used about 2.5 skeins of Cascade 220 – about 72″. You could make a 64″ scarf with 200g of worsted weight yarn.
Furrowed is $3 USD.
Thanks go as usual to my lovely model Francine, and to my testers Valerie, Shannon, Toni, and Riki.
I can always count on you for a great scarf. See you at Rhinebeck,
