Saturday spinning update: blue spin for Sarah

So this week I took the Polwarth/silk fiber that my friend Sarah bought from Fiber Optic Yarns and turned it into a nice fluffy chain-plied skein of yarn. Sarah wants to make Zuzu’s Petals, and I think I ended up going just a bit too thick. I’ve got about 160 yards here.

I can’t quite capture the colours properly. There’s a blue-green in there that’s pretty amazing. I hope Sarah likes it!

Today the Carp farmers’ market had their Hallowe’en festivities. There was a haunted house and candy and I had a chance to do a first pass at makeup on my little ghouls:
