Bio

I remember learning to knit as a Brownie. I remember there was a difficulty in that I was left-handed and that the volunteer helping out grouped us “difficult” people together. After a few garter stitch scarves, that was it for a while.

I picked up the needles again as a university student on a limited budget. I was in a co-op program, so there was time for me to knit on my work terms. I taught myself from a Readers Digest book and developed a style that’s been described by others knitters as “very strange” or more kindly as “I’ve never seen anyone knit like that before.”

I’ve been a knitting designer since 2009. I am currently inspired by Art Deco designs and architecture.

I’m also a software tester, mom to 2 wonderful children, adoptee, and politically active citizen.
