Pseudo-Rhinebeck

I wasn’t at Rhinebeck, but my money was! Michelle, aka PearlPower on Ravelry, was the brains behind a local convoy that traveled down.

I sent some birthday money down & was greatly rewarded with:
Angel Face from Briar Rose. It’s 2500 yards of lovely green alpaca laceweight yarn.

55%/45% Silk & Yak by Skaska Designs in a lovely silver colour. A mere (!) 1675 yards of loveliness.

And then we probably shouldn’t ignore the lovely Sweet Georgia Merino Silk Lace that Kirsti (Ink) snagged for me while out in BC. It’s 765 yards of a lovely golden colour that seems to almost glow pinkish in places. I have immediate plans for this. Well, probably not immediate, the way my knitting goes.

I’ve been told that I need to go to Rhinebeck next year. If anyone’s looking for me, I’m busy on Oct. 15, 16 & 17 2010.

In the mean time, if someone could just find me the time to knit up another 4000 yards of laceweight yarn (in addition to the yarn I already have), that would be just perfect.

Hey, I'll take the silk/yak off of your hands. (I have one skein, but I'm tempted by a shawl that would take two. Story of my life – bad planning.)
