In transit

There was virtually no spinning this past week and much less knitting than I would have liked. I guess that’s what happens when you’re moving for the first time in 10 years. I’m working on my sample of the Vineyards shawl and there are some testers working away on it too, so it’s on track to be out at the end of the month.

Yesterday was mostly spent ferrying things to the new house and buying curtains and curtain rods. Last night we camped out at the new house and today we’ve got to go tidy up at the old house. The movers are coming tomorrow to pack whatever isn’t already packed, so there’s a little bit more work to do there. Then on Tuesday the movers are coming to do the hard work of moving all our stuff. We’ve already done some measuring and figuring out, so we know where most things are going to go

It felt a bit weird just now typing “old house”, but I know that this move is a good thing for us. The kids are thrilled that we are literally just across the road from a park. I’ll be happy once the bulk of the stuff is unpacked and we can live in a house without worrying about having showings once or twice a week!

I’m expecting to having actual knitting and spinning time in the near future, once all this house moving/closing stuff is sorted out.
