I present to you my Deco Raindrop Scarf. This scarf is knit from a provisional cast on in the middle out to the beaded lace ends. The body is a simple 2 row repeat, but the decorative ends make it something special. I used less than 400 yards of fingering weight Tosh Sock (colour Baltic) and less than 250 beads.
Wouldn’t this make a great gift? And what are the chances that you already have around 400 yards of fingering to DK weight yarn in your stash? I know not everyone has beads in their stash, but if you’ve got a great local bead store (Dragon’s Lair) like I do, you can wander in with your yarn & get suggestions for what’s going to get you the look you’re going for. If not, most places with beads will have a reasonable selection of size 6/0 beads.
Thanks go, as usual, to my fabulous modelĀ Francine for helping out on what was a rather chilly day.
I created this pattern as an entry into the Patternfish 10,000th design contest. Patternfish is quickly closing in on 10,000 available designs and held a design contest to get that particular spot. You can have a look at the 10 finalists and vote for them here by November 18th.
The Deco Raindrop Scarf pattern is only available on Patternfish for the month of November, but will be more widely available in December.
It’s wonderful and your Francine is just fabulous!
I can’t wait to knit the store sample for Yarn Forward ! And Congratulations on another stunning design.
