A lovely new book: Textured Stitches

I’ve been a fan of Connie Chang Chinchio’s designs ever since I saw her Printed Silk Cardigan in the Spring 2008 Interweave. Ever since then I’d occasionally see a design pop up that looked nice and it would be one of Connie’s. The last sweater that I started is her Metro cardigan from the Fall 2010 Twist Collective. I confess that it’s still on the needles, but I do want to finish it.

But that’s neither here nor there. What’s cool is that Connie’s got a book of her own out: Textured Stitches: Knitted Sweaters and Accessories with Smart Details.

Here are some of the designs that have caught my eye:

The Raindrop Cardigan. Most of the fun stuff in this cardigan is in the back. It’s beautiful.

The Olivia Shawl: it’s sweet & unique. Love that pleated border.

The Intagliata Henley: the cover design. Simple, elegant, and I’m in love with this colour too.

I think the copies at my LYS are already spoken for, so I’m sure there will be another order coming in soon. Can’t wait!

I was paging through this at the LYS – lovely designs, but simple enough to be classic. I may buy this one.
