I have this idea that I should try to do a little more with my spinning than to spin my default weight of super skinny singles (oooh, alliteration). To that end, I started with this lovely bunch of Fleece Artist BFL that Val sent me:
I predrafted it a bit, used the largest whorl, and started out spinning very gently. My singles are a little bit lumpy bumpy but it’s amazing how much more quickly I filled the bobbin.
So far I’ve got 2 bobbins ready to go, and when I’ve got 3 I think I’ll ply it to see what happens.
The experiment is only about half way done. Tune in next week to see if I can get around to spinning despite all the Christmas preparation and secret project knitting that needs to get done.
oooooohhhhh beauteous
Woo Hoo!
