This week I managed to chain ply the first 3 oz braid of my gradient BFL/silk from Turtlepurl. It started out as two matching braids that can be spun into gradient yarn. I’ve chosen to chain ply each braid.
I got a whopping 425 yards of 3 ply in about 90g, which I’m very happy with. You can see here that I’ve also started to spin up the second braid – might as well get it all done at once.
Since I love the first skein so much, here it is in a variety of forms so that you can appreciate its beauty:
The shine from the silk is ridiculous. It’s wonderful stuff.
I’m not sure what’s next, but I have some Romney from Into The Whirled that’s been sitting on my largest Golding spindle since July, and I probably really should look into finishing that, right?
Amazing! Totally beyond my spinning understanding and skill level. What will you do with it?
That is gorgeous stuff! Love the silky sheen.
that is absolutely stunning!! Very impressive Natalie.
IT”S GORGEOUS!
What will you do with it? You MUST do something fabulous with that yarn.
I know I gave it to you…but I WANT IT……I will never be able to spin as well as you.
